These lines by Walt Disney capture the very essence or the core philosophy of SFS, Kailash Colony, to create a congenial environment for the child to bloom, unfettered, filled with boundless joy, armed with the magic word of wonder and imagination.

Summer Fields School’s environment creates a place for joyful learning. The insatiable curiosity of the child's inquisitive mind is enriched with a lot of fun-filled activities, carried out in a manner which brings forth the interest and inner potential of each child. It is with this objective in view that special weeks like 'Book Week', ' India week', 'Leadership week', 'Social & Civic Consciousness week' are conducted and form an integral part of the teaching - learning process. Classroom activities emphasize on 'learning by doing', be it puppet shows or rhyme time at the Pre-school level or science projects in Class V. Value Education is imparted regularly through story telling, interactive discussion and talks in class. The same is projected regularly in assemblies conducted in the morning. Eminent personalities (whom the children can look upto as role models) are invited, for this kind of exposure will go a long way in shaping and developing the child's personality. Special programmes like MUN, Green School programme, PEC, Face to Faith, ISA and so on have been brought into the school.

The mission of the school is to extract 'Excellence' and integrate knowledge and learning into a continuing process. It is essential to combine scholastic achievements with moral and physical skills essential for success, as also understanding the importance of co-existence, co-operation and healthy competitions as individuals and team players. With Summer Fields School having entered into the international arena, visits by foreign delegates, exchange programme for students and teachers, has become an integral part of the everyday school curriculum. Needless to say Summer Fields School is preparing the future leaders of our society. We assist students to explore individual talents; encourage them to work as a team and also to become useful members of the world community.
