Education Beyond Classroom

Summer Fields School firmly believes that every child is entitled to childhood. While education is the primary function of a school, education at Summer Fields School includes all activities that go into personality building.

On the basis of age, each child is encouraged to indulge in sports and cultural activities of his interest, and class room education does not infringe into a child's right to play, sing, dance and be himself.

Friday Club Activities

It is a constant endeavour to motivate our students to explore and excel in their hidden talents, keeping this in mind, we offer Friday Club Activities for students of classes IV-X. This is another step towards the holistic development of our children.
These activities are conducted by professional experts and our own teaching faculty after school working hours from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. every Friday.

Physical Education In School Curriculum

PEC programme was introduced in this session for the students of primary wing . PEC(Physical Education Cards) programme has been developed by C.B.S.E.in collaboration with British Council Youth Sports and U.K. sports. Teachers are using the activities given in the cards to teach language and maths along with physical education. The ongoing PEC programme has invigorated the teaching methodology. The children now wait for these periods expectantly.
PEC provides opportunities for all students to learn while being physically active.
The intent of PEC programme is to provide learning experiences to children of all abilities and interests. During group work, every opportunity is made to ensure that each student has an active role in the learning activity.
In order to develop decision-making and problem-solving skills, the programme challenges students to identify and investigate problems, find active ways to solve them and represent solutions in a variety of ways. Students develop basic social skills, including teamwork, problem solving, leadership and effective communication that will be valuable to them in the future.

Workshops and Learning Sessions:
Creative thinking and innovative skills are highly encouraged at Summer Fields School. Children as Summer Fields School believe, develop most of the skills and talent early in their childhood.

Our students show enthusiasm & participate in learning beyond the four walls of the class room, attending workshops on Leadership, Public Speaking, Adolescent Issues etc.
