OUTLINE OF ACTIVITIES FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST, 2012
PRE-PRIMARY

Rakhi Making Competition – Children showcased their aesthetic sense through Rakhi Making Competition on 1st August, 2012.Children enjoyed this activity thoroughly.

2.Activity-Leaf Impressions- Children passed on the message of planting trees by making beautiful leaf impressions on paper in an activity held on 3rd August, 2012.

3. Open House- An open house was conducted on 4th August,2012 to develop a better rapport between the school and the parents. It also helped the parents to know about their ward’s progress.

4. Class Assemblies- Students of Pre-Primary-C conducted the assembly on7th August ,2012 on thetopicBiodegradable and Non-biodegradable wastes .They enlightened our minds by demonstrating the ways to segregate the wastes. RETHINK, REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE was the message they conveyed.Students of Pre-Primary-F honored the zest of independence by conducting an assembly on the topic Struggle for Independence on 14th August, 2012.Students of Pre-Primary-E conducted the assembly on the topic Child Labour.

5.Janmashtmi Celebrations- All the children came dressed up asRadha or Krishna on9thAugust,2012. Bhajans were played and the importance of Janmashtmi was explainedthrough movie.

6.Role-Play-Students of Pre-Primary offered their homage to the spirit of our country’s Independence through the role play. Each student had dressed up like an Indian National leader and spoke about them on 14th August,2012.

7. Memory Game Competition-The children amazed us with their sharp memory and high level of concentration when they appeared for the Memory Game Competition on 26th August, 2012.

8.Outing to Gurudwara- Children were taken to thePahariwalaGurudwara on 24th August,2012.Children offered their prayers and enjoyed theShabad-Kirtan. Guru KaLangar was also served to them.

9. Activity-Making of Lollipops- Children made colorful lollipops with the help of fevicol and crayons on 31st August, 2012.

10. Science Experience (Bending Pencil)-Students of Pre-Primary experienced the principles of refraction of light through the experiment of Bending Pencil on 31st August, 2012.
